Walking into the School of Art and Design Performing Arts Division facilities every day is like walking into an artist residency. Students have access to world class facilities with world class faculty, world class equipment.
Our facilities are second to none. We often have students who come here from around the country and they see our ceramic facilities or glass facilities. And the technology that we have here is unbelievable. It blows you away. But also the community is really supportive. It's really creative. And our students just genuinely are excited to be here and really, for the first time in many of their lives, be able to express themselves creatively in ways they never have before.
Within the School of Art and Design, we have a wide variety of opportunities to expose yourself to the art world outside of Alfred. You've got five different galleries within the school itself. So whether it be student run or professionally curated, you're always looking at amazing art to inspire you.
To accredited by NASA, the National Association of Schools of our design means that we have been peer reviewed by a national organization that looks at the way we deliver our curriculum, our co curricular opportunities, as well as our facilities and our methods of operating.
So we are number one in the country for ceramics. We're number three for glass or sculptures really high. That means our graduate programs in that area are super competitive and attracting these artists that are accomplished throughout the world. So you have this awesome combination of faculty and TAs from some of the best graduate programs in the country. And that's what makes us a top ranked art school in the country.
So at Alfred, we've got a wide range of careers afterwards with our 98% success rate. We have students that move into practicing studio art roles, or move into communications and marketing, and really sell themselves as creative problem solvers, which can lead you to any career.
