There's a lot of support for students exploring career opportunities after graduation, both in the classroom with their faculty, and in co curricular programming with the Career Development Center. So career fairs, opportunities to work one on one with career counselors on documents, on networking, interviewing skills.
So many of our successful alumni have used our services the entire time they've been here at Alfred. They come to our events. They come to our networking sessions, and they use our services such as the resume critiques and mock interviews. I feel like that is the thing that makes them successful when they leave because they know how to promote themselves.
Alfred University's Career Center has developed a four year plan for career success. So what we want is for students to engage with the Career Center early, and often starting from the first year working on resume development, finding internship opportunities, and continuing up through graduation and beyond.
I think past alumni realize the importance of their network, any of those that they've met while here on campus, any connections that we have given them, they've used them to their benefit, and they've reached out to them afterwards and have been successful doing so.
There's a lot of support for helping students explore graduate school options. A number of our majors and departments have professional seminars for students in the junior or senior year. And this is, of course, a big topic for those seminars. And also the career development centers available for any student at any point in their college journey who wants to start talking about the Graduate School search and application process. So at Alfred University, we're really proud that one year after graduation consistently, we have high 90 percentile ranges for students going into graduate school and into the workforce.
